A. TEM micrograph of the 1 mM AuCl 4 - ions-treated sonicated sample of B. licheniformis showing synthesized AuNPs. Purified nanoparticles from B. licheniformis were examined by electron microscopy. Several fields were photographed and were used to determine the diameter of nanoparticles. The range of observed diameter of the synthesized gold nanoparticles was about 50 nm. B. Representative XRD pattern of gold nanoparticles synthesized after θ24 h. The XRD pattern shows four intense peaks in the whole spectrum of 2 θ values ranging from 20 to 80. Note 2 θ peak values of 39.01°, 46.48°, 64.69° and 77.62°, corresponding to 111, 200, 220, 311 planes, respectively, for gold.
