Cell death induced by CdS-Dx/QDs in human cell lines. Cells were treated with CdS-Dx/QDs (0.01 and 1 μg/mL) for 24 h and stained with AO/EtBr staining and analyzed using fluorescence microscopy (×100). Cells exposed to 1 µL/mL of 30 % H₂O₂ for 2 h were used as apoptosis; cells exposed to 100 °C for 5 min were used as necrosis; and non-treated cells were used as negative control. These are representative results of at least three independent experiments (n = 3)
