Antimicrobial effect of MgO nanoparticles against C. jejuni, E. coli O157:H7, and S. Enteritidis. Various concentrations of nanoparticles were applied to approx. 108 CFU/ml of C. jejuni and 109 CFU/ml of E. coli O157:H7 or S. Enteritidis. At different times after the treatment, viable cell counts were measured by culturing bacterial colonies on MH agar plates. Each of the CFU/ml value represents the mean of six replicates
