Balb/c female mice were injected intra-tibia with 4 × 105 mCherry-labeled 4T1 cells. One week post injection the mice were treated with 0.1 mg/ml of either Cy7-conjugated BP nanoparticles or Cy7-conjugated control nanoparticles. Fluorescent images (a) and histogram of extracted tumors (b) after 72 h post injection of Cy7-conjugated BP nanoparticles. The marked area signifies the area of the tumor. Cy5 filter was used to image the mCherry expressing tumor along with Cy7 filter for the NPs
