Quantitative determination of uptake of Au NPs by MSCs. hMSCs were incubated with Au NPs (ca. 4 nm core diameter) with different concentrations (cNP = 2–100 nM) for a range of times (5, 24, 48 h). After washing, the mass mAu of intracellular Au was determined by ICP-MS and was normalized to the initial number of cells.
