Activation of immune cells by functionalized and non functionalized VLPs was evaluated in RAW-Blue cells. RAW-Blue cells (1 × 105/well) were stimulated for 12 h with medium (control), P22CYP or P22CYP-PpIXPEG(EST). In all cases, VLPs were used at a concentration of 25 μg/mL. As positive control, 21 µg protein per mL of bacterial lysate (E. coli) was used.
