LNCs rapidly localize to lysosomal structures. Super-resolution 3D SIM microscopy of MCF-7 cells treated with DiD-labeled LNCs. The micrographs show the maximum intensity projection of Z-stacks acquired by 2 color super-resolution 3D-SIM with 125 nm increments of MCF-7 cells treated with 0.5 mg/ml DiD-LNCs for the indicated time points. Prior to the treatment with DiD-LNCs, lysosomes were labeled by transduction and overnight incubation with CellLight™ Lysosomes-GFP. Inlays show enlarged pictures of the regions indicated in yellow. LNCs (purple) localize to lysosomal structures (green) already after 30 min. The SIM study was performed once with 10–15 cells analyzed per time point. Scale bars are 5 µm
