Preparation of dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) coated chitosan hybrid nanoparticles by electrostatic interaction method. The nanoparticle dispersion was nebulised as microdroplets for effective targeting the respiratory airways by the mechanism of diffusion. Once deposited, their cellular uptake inside the lung epithelial cells is a determinant of their particle size and surface charge
