Activity of PCDs at cell membrane-virus attachment. Plaque reduction assays were performed in MRC-5 cells for 6 days treatments. MRC-5 cells were pre-cooled at 4 ºC and pre-treated for 1 h at 4 ºC with increased concentrations of G1-S4, G2-S16 and G2-S24P PCDs (1, 5 and 10 µM) and infected with 60 PFU at 4 ºC. Plaques were counted after 6 days with a methylene blue dye. Percentage of infection is represented as the number of plaques in treatments in regard of the control of HCMVAD−169 infection.
