SiO2 NPs induce the activation of retinal glial cells and reduce RGCs. Retinal sections were prepared as described in Fig. 6. At 1 d (A), 7 d (B), and 14 d (C) after SiO2 NP injection, retinas were stained with the antibodies of β-III-tubulin (a marker of RGCs) and GFAP (a marker of glial cells).
