Schematic representation of the executed experiment. The acute lung injury (ALI) rat model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of PQ. After one hour after PQ injection, different drugs were continuously administrated for 3 or 7 days to evaluate the lung protective effects. Inhalation of saline was used as a control, and ulinastatin was used as a positive drug.
