From: Enhanced green fluorescent protein-mediated synthesis of biocompatible graphene
Synthesis and characterization of GO and EGFP-rGO by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy. Spectra of GO exhibited a maximum absorption peak at approximately 230 nm, which corresponds to a ?-? transition of aromatic C-C bonds. The absorption peak for reduced GO was red-shifted to 258 nm. At least three independent experiments were performed for each sample and reproducible results were obtained. Data from a representative experiment are shown.
