Carboxy (COOH) functionalized magnetic nanoparticles are activated with EDC and NHS. Amine-reactive NHS ester on the magnetic nanoparticle reacts with primary amines on the antibody to yield anti rabbit IgG coupled magnetic nano particle. (b) Schematic representation of the conjugation reaction between F-actin and anti rabbit IgG using heterobifunctional cross-linkers. F-actin is modified with C6-succinimidyl 6-hydrazinonicotinate acetone hydrazone (C6-SANH) via primary amines on actin which then forms a biz-aryl-hydrazone bond with C6-succinimidyl 4-formylbenzoate (C6-SFB) attached to anti rabit IgG via primary amines.
