IOs and MF reduce inflammation in co-culture of macrophages with both osteoclasts and osteoblasts. TNF-a (a), iNOS (b) and IL-1b (c) expression was investigated in RAW 264.7 macrophages after co-culture with MC3T3 or 4B12 in the presence and absence of MF. Results expressed as mean ± SD. Statistical significance indicated as asterisk (*) when comparing the results between corresponding bars representing MF− and MF+ groups, and as number sign (#) when comparing to LPS MF−. ###, ***p < 0.001
