Immunofluorescence images of frozen brain (a) and heart tissues (b) at 24 h after injection of DiR@MION and DiR@MION-PEG-LF were evaluated. The DAPI-stained nuclei gave out blue fluorescence under excitation and DiR-loaded nanoparticles showed red fluorescence under excitation.
