Nanotrap workflow. Magnetic Nanotraps (red spheres) can be added to challenging matrices, such as blood. Nanotraps adhere to microbial proteins and nucleic acid as well as bacteria. Nanotraps are pulled down using a magnet and interfering blood can be removed and used for further analysis. The magnetic pellet can be rapidly processed through downstream applications for diagnostic purposes
