Gel-FeS NPs inhibited PRRSV infection in a time- and dose-dependent manner as indicated by indirect immunofluorescence assay. Immunofluorescence images of PRRSV-infected MARC-145 cells treated with different concentrations of Gel-FeS NPs (0‒340.0 µg/mL). The nucleus was stained with DAPI, and the viral protein was labeled with fluorescent dye Alexa Fluor® 594. Control group: the MARC-145 cells were not treated with nanomaterials, but inoculated with PRRSV. Scale bar: 100 μm
