Schematic illustration of multifunctional “Golden Cicada” nanoplatform for cancer synergistic photothermal/gene therapy. The core-shell structured MGCN was constructed in a two-step electrostatic interacted way. The MGCN overcame physiological barriers to reach the tumor site specifically, it possessed properties of efficient gene delivery and excellent photothermal effects
