Schematic illustration of non-genetic nano-neuromodulation achieved by transferring or transforming exogenous acoustic, light, force, thermal, electric, and magnetic signals through functional nanoparticles and making them stimulate the ion channels on the surface of nerve cells, resulting in the influx of ions regulating membrane potential like Ca²⁺, and finally triggering the action potentials
