Biography: Jinyao Liu is Professor andNew Content Item Assistant to the Dean of Institute of Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. After received his Ph.D. at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Materials Science and Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Deyue Yan in 2013, Jinyao joined Prof. Ashutosh Chilkoti’ group in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University (04. 2013-08. 2015) and Prof. Robert Langer’s laboratory in the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT (09. 2015-03. 2018) as a postdoc associate. His current research interests include engineered living materials, bacterial therapeutics, oral drug delivery, and the gut microbiome. He has published > 50 peer-reviewed publications in Matter, Nat. Commun., Sci. Adv., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Adv. Sci., Nano Today, Small, Biomaterials, etc. and is named inventor on 5 international patents. Jinyao’s publications have been featured by MIT News, Noteworthy Chemistry, Nature Communications Editors' Highlights, Hunan-TV, etc. He has received several prestigious grants and awards, such as the Recruitment Program of Global Youth Experts of China and Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Shanghai, and is currently serving as the Associate Editor of J. Nanobiotechnology, Theme Editor of Adv. Drug Deliv. Rev., and Pharmaceutics.
