Chao Wang is a professor at Soochow University in China. He received his B.S. degree and Ph.D. degree from Soochow University. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and North Carolina State University (NCSU). In 2018, Dr. Wang joined Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM) at Soochow University as a professor and PI. His research focuses on the engineering of cell-based biomaterials for immunotherapy of cancer and inflammatory diseases. Dr. Wang has authored over 70 peer-reviewed papers, which have received a total citation of > 20,000 times and given him an H-index at 73. He was awarded one of 2021 Asia Pacific TR35 Top Young Innovators by MIT Technology Review, 2018-2022 "Highly Cited Researchers" list produced by Clarivate Analytics.
