Prof. Hu received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University under the supervision of Prof. Zhen Gu in 2018. From 2018-2020, he was a postdoc associate in the laboratory of Prof. Robert Langer in Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT. Prof. Hu joined UW-Madison in 2020 as an assistant professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division at the School of Pharmacy, where his research focuses on leveraging the delivery approach to address current clinical challenges and facilitate translational research by combining cell therapy, immunotherapy, and personalized therapy.
